Need to replace my manifold off a 88 GTA 5.7 What years will definatly be a direct swap, camaro/firebird diff? 5.0/5.7

Would anyone tell me how hard it is to do the swap, I have a limited auto knoledge, and limited tools, basic basic basic, dont even have a torque wrench, lol but could get my hands on one

If this isnt what people would reccomend me doing by my self, what would you think the charge would be to have someone do it for me, I think going rate is $58-68 per hour. Also anyone know how much the manifold would cost roughly?

It's the wrong side for me to be sure, but I'd say it's 88+ because I don't see the cold start switch in the front.

Do a search on intake gasket replacement, it's the same thing.

Thanks, the guy said it is off a 88 firebird, just wanted to make sure.

My friend thinks that theres a conspiracy and the guy selling it is a member and seen my post with link and lied cause I need one for an 88, lol

You can do it yourself in about 2-3 hours with basic tools. Start by removing the plenum and TB, and mark your vacuum lines/harnesses as you go. Remove your runners and thermostat after that. Oh, make sure your fuel system is depressurized as well. From there you remove the fuel rail, and distributor (note: pull the cap and mark the rotor position so it's not replaced improperly and you don't have timing problems) then you can remove the manifold. You'll have to get the torque spec and torquing sequence for reassembly, I don't know them offhand, so I can't tell you. Hope that helps you some.

Just wanted to thank everyone that gave me advice and help to get this done. Put it all back together the other day seems to be good,(still overheating though) Thanks Guys
