do i have to new head bolts?

well hoping all i have is blown head gasket .changing them this weekend do i have to buy new head bolts?

why not spend a few extra dollars and save the hassle of having to replace them if they were to go bad?

I believe it's usually recommended to replace them after they are removed due to the bolts strenching once torqued. I have always bought a new set. Now if they are ARP feel free to reuse them to your hearts content those high tensile bolts don't stretch.

Only if they're torque to yield, which SBC head bolts aren't.
