t5 speedo housing tab doesn't fit

t5 speedo housing tab doesn't fit
When I try to put on the tab or retainer on it doesn't actually reach the housing itself its too short. The tab I have is from a th350. On hawks the tab they sell for the t5 looks exactly like the tab I have. Any help is appreciated.

I had to upload somewhere else but its here.
Im pretty sure this is the wrong retainer so if anyone could give me a part number for the correct retainer and bolt it would be appreciated.

There were two different models, a long and short.
When I ran into this I just made another one to fit.
A piece of metal and drill a hole to fit.

Since my dad took all of his tools i cant readily make the retainer. would this style of retainer work? If not could someone direct me towards something that will work.

that's huge in comparison and probably the correct one for a 700-r4
I don't think the material is nearly as thick as the T5 one.
Just get a piece of metal with a 1/4" hole and shape it with a dremel. It's about the simplest piece on the whole car.
This is basically the look of it, though yours is probably the longer of 2 designs, as mentioned above.
