Stripped transmission mount bolts
I was attempting to removed a broken transmission mount from my 92 RS. To my chagrin, i discovered that the two transmission bolts holding the mount in are stripped. Any suggestions on how to removed them? Thanks guys!

Re: Stripped transmission mount bolts
By stripped I mean that the bolt head is rounded off. A socket or wrench won't grab it. I was hoping to not cut it off...

Oh, that...
I'd suggest one of those socket-like things that has all the little pin/wire things in it, such that it conforms to any random shape whatsoever; and then new bolts.

This with the PB Blaster or similar penetrating oil:

Or a Craftsman Bolt Out:

Re: Stripped transmission mount bolts
My only experience is with the Craftsman Bolt Out to remove a socket head cap screw (SHCS) that fastened an SLP runner to the lower intake manifold.
The SLP supplied ball end driver (IIRC, it was a Cal-Van tool) couldn't withstand the installation torque and the ball wedged and snapped off in the bolt socket. I just left it that way as the bolt was already tight.
Fast forward +10 years later when I needed to remove that bolt.

My experience with the bolt-out was a knock sensor. Thankfully in a head and easy to reach, rather than just above the pan rail.
