My 60* Modifying Guide - Wanna proof read what I started?

OK, some of you may have read when I said that I wanted to make a Guide to modifying our cars. I have a start on somethings and it is far from finished. I would like to have somebody that knows little about car be able to read it and know what they are doing afterwards. Anything you could add will be appreciated.

I truly hate to judge anothers work, but the link in the distrubutor section leads to another "talk" about performance issues and nothing at all about rebuilding the distrubitor. (My spelling is also bad). I think its a good idea to have all mods on your web site (if room permits). That way we could have just one place to look for mods.

i will correct that link once I find Karls describtion, his post seems to have dissipeared?

Teal, why drop suspension and braking, I am trying to put everything all in one place! That is the point

XonyaZ28, this guide is far from finished, i would check back later when it is finished, so it would be in further depth with all the other areas of performance

yeah, if Tom says that it looks good, then i haven't messed anything up yet.

Got my Carpet yesterday, and put it in last night, so thats been takeing my time up lately, Did the rear brake shoed on sunday, And i can't remember what was on sat, but I will try to get some more time into the page.

Project, since when has there been a distributor? Last time I checked there wasn't one. Not that I would pay that much for one, but It would be good to put that into the guide... I'll do some research.

Those distributors aren't for computer controlled engines; thus, there is no distributor for our 85-92 2.8/3.1 MPFI motors. The only way to get a performance distributor for our motors is to rebuild it with a performance module.

And that's all the TPI v8 aftermarket distributors are, anyway! Sure they're made to higher tolerances than a stock distributor, but the electronics are the same as what we can buy.

those are aftermarket distributors for our engines. If someone wants to modify their non -MPFI engine w/aftermarket intake/carb, they will need a non cc card & vacuum advance distributor, thus the Mallory units. this may/may not affect emmissions, but the set up is taboo for those in cali, sorry

No, they're not! Read what I said again:

They might be for '80-92 2.8/3.1's, but they're not for our 85-92 2.8/3.1 MPFI motors. If he puts that in the "modifications guide", a newbie might pay $300 for a distributor he/she can't use, that's all I'm trying to say.

Decided I wanted to make the GUI before finsh typing all the information, besides, i am still doing research on a lot of it too!

Look over the new layout, i went through and edited a little, man i suck at grammer/spelling when I type fast!

Any grammer/spelling help would be great, but it is propably best to wait until I am finished to do that. At work, time to leave, will try to find time to work on it tonight, if working on my own car doesn't take precedence...

see ya later...

Karl, Why can't I find your Rebuilding distributor Post???? I have it printed out, but i don't have the address. I wanted to link to that but can't seem to find it ???
