how many miles on your V6? (poll)
I took my car into the shop for a 200K checkup, and it got a clean bill of health. I'm not going to swap the engine until the current one shows some signs of wearing out. It still sounds like a brand new car, and will even break the tires loose (a little) going to 2nd gear
Let's take a poll... how many miles are on your V6, and please share if it's the original engine or not

Car: 92 Camaro RS, 93 Caprice Classic
Engine: 3.1L V6, 5.0L V8 + 700r4 on both
Transmission: Rebuilt 700r4 in the Camaro
Axle/Gears: Stock with 3.23s ...3.73 later?
Re: how many miles on your V6? (poll)
Mines somewhere around 213,000, and its (most likely) the original engine. I think its got a small oil leak on the back of the motor, and a lifter ticks, but all together its a good engine - though it did get new fuel injectors at about 195k. Whenever it fails it'll get a 3.4 or a 5.3.

That's my plan too, but I'll probably go 4.8 with a t56. (or 3.4 if it happens sooner rather than later)

I have 113k miles on my car at the moment, its not the original block but the old one was replaced at 112k miles because I broke a ringlands. This engine has 105k miles on it. Not high by any rate.

Re: how many miles on your V6? (poll)
I'm sitting right at 113k miles. Almost everything is original. It was a gift when I turned 16....now almost 7 years later I'm going to start messing with it. I have a little bit of trouble driving a stick, and since I have 2 newer cars...this thing just sits . It needs to be driven. Heck I even keep tags and insurance on it.
All that I can recall that my parents have done to it are: fuel pump(likes 1k miles ago), new plugs and wires (maybe 10k miles ago), some part is superglued together I do not know what it is( been holding since 70k miles), clutch(that will probably be a soon to be project for me since I can't drive for crap).
Next projects are replacing valve cover gasket, new exhaust manifolds/or headers, probably have to jerk the heads off soon for valve seals. It doesn't smoke too bad though, so I may get away with not doing that for a little while.
Planning on putting an M90 on it, but need to get the little stuff wrong with it fixed first. I think it should handle 5 psi okish. Worst comes to worst that it blows the motor.....I'll be able to drop something bigger in....3.4? I'd rather buy a v8 car instead of dropping a v8 in.
This is my first post on here after reading stuff on here for years.

Re: how many miles on your V6? (poll)
286,xxx miles, original motor and trans. All little stuff done along with general maintenance. Just finished up my Megasquirt1 install, First big thing I have done with the car since I bought it in 2008.
Next up is the turbo setup from bl85c, which is in the mail I'll post the pics when I get it in my turbo thread.
The car runs great! Well not right now until the tune gets nailed down, lol. But it runs

If the odometer is right, I'm at around 82K.
...but for all I know it could be 582K.

Engine: 3.1 v6
I have 132,xxx on my 3.1 92. It's a mostly original car with the exception of the wheels/tires, arm rests on door, dash pad and exhaust. I'm planning for an ls swap when I can get the money.

Re: how many miles on your V6? (poll)
As of now the car is an 88 Camaro v6 5spd. It's got the 2.8. I'm in the process of building a 355 for it now. I already have the v8 t5 trans for it. Will post a build thread here soon. Already did a 4th gen dash swap with console and seats from 02 firebird

oh.. the engine is for sale, not the car.
If you can't sell the whole thing, contact me, I may be interested in some parts ECM, vacuum hoses ect)

Yes just the engine the car is getting built. Asking 250 for the engine which includes ECM all accessories and the flywheel and bell housing and wiring.

If you decide to part it out let me know. Don't need the engine, although that's a good price for a low mileage setup

Damn, if I wasnt already working on the turbo setup I woulda bought it, lol. Turbo ate all my tax money. Good luck with the sale though, thats a steal for a 56k motor
