Wheel offset

Will 18x10 wheels with 5.4" backspacing or -9.25mm offset work on a thirdgen?

Re: Wheel offset

5.4" backspace on a 18x10 wheel is pretty much dead centerline, as in 0mm offset. Your two numbers can't live in the same world.

Re: Wheel offset

The key here is that advertised width is approximately 1" smaller than the actual overall width. Backspace measurement is taken from the outside edge of wheel where the overall width is referenced. You've got to talk in terms of overall width if you're going to go back and forth between backspace and offsets. About the only thing the advertised width is useful for is choosing a tire size.

They could make it simpler. But they don't.

Re: Wheel offset

But to answer your question, no they wont. Not enough backspacing.

Re: Wheel offset

I heard a rumor that Jabba the Hut has one on Tatooine, but it's a dangerous place this time of year.
