why slp headers

i am putting a 95 LT1 in my 92. everyone has said slp headers are great. my question is why are they so great for this application?
i also want to eliminate emissions, but the slp have the emission tubes on them. do they offer a set without that? i also wonder why slp is better because the emission tubes that are on them are positioned the wrong way. PLEASE help me i am going nuts. i want to put in my motor!

what ever you do dont get edelbrock's they suck a$$, i've gone to the SLP's and they were a little harder to hook up in my opinion, but they are alot better, also i dont have my smog equipment hooked up i went to my local hardware store and got a couple of metal caps the screw on were the smog equipment would have normaly gone....very quick and easy.

The SLP headers are rated better because they are made with stainless steel and will not rust like other headers a BIG Plus.
Also you can order the headers without the emission A.I.R. tubes.
Check their site at www.slponline.com, hope this helps.

the edelbrock ones aim the emissions to the back of the motor. the 95 LT1 stuff is on the front of the exhaust manifold. to make it work i would have to fabricate a tube to head to the back of the header and then angle back forward.

Check with www.slponline.com and that link will tell you if you have the correct P/N and also order from there, it may be cheaper.

YES get them coated...all of the money you lay out for stainless is for durability not looks. My SLP headers had surface rust the first week they were on the car, now after a year they are rusty looking. I will get my next set of headers coated.
