I just installed and edelbrock carb and after I run the engine hard for a minute, wehn I put in the clutch to brake or to just be in neutral the car dies. (It's not a clutch problem...the car will die if I take too much time to switch gears). What can I do so that the car won't just die on me?

 

Does it have a choke hooked up? Does it run good when it is cold? If so I suspect your idle speed is not set high enough. After it warms up the choke pulls off and the fast idle cam is not used. That could be the problem but it is hard to tell without more information.

Moving this to the carb board. You should get more help there.
