Power Pulleys: Good or Bad?

I'm looking at a pulley that goes in front of the harmonic balancer that is supposed to "turn 25% slower than stock and provide about 15 extra horsepower, which will give me better mileage and increased accessory life"--According to Summit.
Does this sound right or is it total BS? I'm not looking to put any hard parts on right now, the engine has a good intake and exhaust. I'm just looking at this for something extra before i plunge into something larger like heads/camshaft.

i had some on mine and ended up taking them off because it really f***ed with the charging and caused the idle to be really bad. oh and i didnt notice a difference with them on either.

I have a March crankshaft pulley on mine, but I didn't put the bigger alternator pulley on it so it keeps charge very well, It does help the engine rev. faster and it seems to get a little better mileage. I have never had any charging problems with it, but it did almost overheat one time when I was on vacation and drove it fast up Pike's Peak, it didn't turn the waterpump fast enough to keep the engine cool at VERY high altitude(12,000 to 14,000 ft.)

I've got a SLP 25% reduction pulley on mine with all other pulleys stock and it works fine. Performance wise I can't tell because I made some other mods at the same time. But the charging system is good, and it does not overheat.

Anybody using this with a V-belt system instead of a Surpentine belt system?

the reason i think i had probs with the charging system is because i but the alternator pully on to. But i might try just the crank pully now. Since uyou guys dont seem to have a prob.

check out march's power and amp series a little more expensive, but they say it retains near stock charging capacity.

I have a 25% crank pulley and did notice a butt-o-meter difference I think. I have slight charging problems, but who idles or runs below 1200 rpms for very long anyways. I usually cruise around 2000, so it is fine at that rpm. I do have a cooling problem and that really irritates me.
