MSD Ignition........A+

I'm really happy with my choice to go with the MSD wires and I ordered them through Summit Racing and the service was excellent.....

MSD.....:hail:

I too have msd 8.5mm wires. I heard great things about the wires and I have been using them for 2 years now, lol but they are 3 years old. Id recomend using msd for all ignition upgrades.

i love my super conductors, i think they're a lil overkill for my LG4, with only 165 HP I gotta make use of every one of 'em But oh well.... they'll be perfect for my 350HO.

If I had half a brain, I woulda ordered the red ones

You can see my MSD coil too if u look close enough.

tobias05 i have to disagree with ya there. there is no such thing as any aftermarket plug wire being overkill for the car. a good set of performance plug wires is a good thing for any type of car. i run accel 8.8mm spiral core wires on my 2.8 v6 firebird.

yeah, there's nothing wrong w/ a high po ignition system.

I just wanted an excuse to trash on my 'ol LG4

depends, what kind of coil do you have? what condition are your wires, plugs, and coil in? I added my MSD dual connector coil and superconductor wires along w/ my ac delcos all at one time.

It seemed to start a lot better, was more steady going through the rpms, and had maybe a little bit more response and power, but ya know... its no hedder or cam swap.

Having a hi power ignition won't hurt anything except maybe plug life. Having too little spark, well.... you know that answer.

After all this, you should look into a MSD box. IIRC it lengthens the time the plugs fire and adds a few volts too. A 6a or 6al would probably be the most noticable of any of these upgrades, unless your coil wasn't working right or you had a dead plug, then get those fixed first.

Even with a sweet ignition and a flowmaster, mines just a stock LG4 w/ 190k miles. I'd be lucky if i was pushing stock HP after everything i've done to it, but oh well.

Gotta play w/ it to learn about it,
Brandon
