Re: HID HEADLIGHTS FOR 92 CAMARO
I just spent the last couple Weeks changing out headlights to find a set that actually improved the lighting and not just the appearance.I originally purchased a set off Ebay as a kit but they weren't bright . I ended up using two completely different sets for the hi and low beams. make sure the outside hi/low lights have a ballast or you won't be happy with them.

Don't you have to get a new set up headlight casings? you can't put a bulb into the factory headlights because they are a sealed unit.I haven't tried HIDnation, but they are on the cheaper side of things.

This is the buyer I purchased one pair of my lights from. They work very well and were moderately easy to install. I only had to trim out the back of the headlight bucket for clearance of the new lenses and bulbs . The wiring was pretty straight forward.

Awe, naw.. come on guys. Please don't start blinding everyone. If you're going to do HID's, please, PLEASE do it the right way. Use projectors. Look at the link in my sig.

Re: HID HEADLIGHTS FOR 92 CAMARO
If you're talking about those conversion housings with the craptastic piece of convex plastic in front of the bulb, those are not projectors. Light will be scattered, not focused, and glare will be a big issue just like in the pic above. That's pretty bad glare.
Just at least take a look at my link. That thread has pics of projectors and their output and everything.

HID headlights along with Xenons are illegal in most states, for the reason that, like sjgrimsley said, the light quality is awful and you blind other drivers with it.
LED's on the other hand, I think are *mostly* okay.

Re: HID HEADLIGHTS FOR 92 CAMARO
Can you please give a better example. I'm not going to be able to do a project like that. Where can i find a correct housing... I don't really care what the price is. I set up HID's in my camaro, they are horrible. ALL OVER the place. Can i replace the housing.
