I have the B&M ripper shifter and yes it throws shorter shifts. i havent tested mines yet because im breaking in my motor, i like the shifts and its not a hard installation. Although i've heard Pro. 5.0 is a better shifter, not too sure.

I've had my Ripper for a couple of years. The throws are shorter and 'feel' is great. In comparison, the stock shifter is junk. While I like the Ripper, I suspect that all after market shifters provide similair satifaction. Installation was done in my case with the tranny out of the car, so I can't add anything significant.

Stock is simply junk compared to after market. No one I've ever spoken to has claimed they wished they'd stayed with stock.
