Quik-Latch hood pins

Just installed these QL-38-LP/BK low profile satin black hood pins and they are great. Took about an hour to install, used existing holes in the radiator support for the pins. 1-3/4 hole saw on the bottom, 1-3/8 on the top. Fit is great, hood is incredibly secure now.

Re: Quik-Latch hood pins

Are you still using the normal hood latch, or just the pins now?

Both. Pop the primary latch, push the quick latches, and open like normal.

Re: Quik-Latch hood pins

Not totally sold on the quality of the hood and it's ability to remain stable at 80mph for extended periods of time. That's why I went with the Quik-Latch, because they're not ugly AF like the $15 chrome jobs and they positively lock and hold the hood down. I can grab it by the headlight overhang and lift the vehicle.

I have the same setup and love it. When the car goes in for paint I'll have the push buttons recessed into the sheet metal like the new GT500's do.
