FYI,

I have had mine since October, 2013. NEVER had any issues.

guys, listen to me. I am a marine boat mechanic by trade, all the newer marine gm based motors run the smaller starter.We never have any problems with them.if you have the old larger one . replace it with the newer. they will turn over a motor with alot of compression with ease. they draw less power turning over a motor.
