Vacuum Lines For HSR
I'm tryin to figure out the mess off vaccum lines on my car...i had TPI, now I have HSR...the HSR has 4 fittings on the back, 2 small, 2 big...i have a sensor that fits into the bigger one, then i'm guessing the other big one is for a fitting for the brake booster am I correct? then we got the 2 small ones...i deleted all the smog, and charcoal canister, and I was thinking what else needs vacuum? The only thing i could think of is the brake booster..what are the other fittings for? do i just put plugs in them??
fuel pressure regulator needs one.
also there is one that is bigger than all those small little vacuum lines on the TPI but smaller than the brake booster line, i forget what it goes to, maybe HVAC?
dont forget about the opening on the bottom of the HSR plenum. I have my PCV going there.

i bought a filter for my PCV hole in the valve covers....I just figured I didn't need it....I don't think I need it do I, it won't F the computer up or anythign will it??
so the 2 big ones on the back are HVAC and Brake Booster right?
then the one underneath I can just plug right?
Then one of the little ones is fuel pressure regulator..whats the other one for?

Might not be a bad idea to hook one of them up to the MAP sensor, if you have that.
Also, your HVAC system will do a better job of directing the air flow (like, it'll come out of somewhere besides the defroster ducts when you want it to) if you hook that line up.
NO, you don't "need" PCV; if you don't mind your oil getting contaminated with all the stuff that PCV draws out of it; and you don't mind your valve covers always having oil puked all over them by those stupid breathers; and you don't mind your car smelling like cars from the 50s always smelled (like burning oil and exhaust). If it's a strip-only car, that's one thing; but if you drive it on the street, you'd be well advised to hook the PCV up properly.

hmm...so all I do is just get like a 45 degree fitting for the hole under the plenum, then i just run a hose to a pcv valve right??
also am I right on all the other holes?

intake air temperature sensor (IAT)
brake booster
HVAC
fuel pressure regulator
PCV
I put the PCV on the bottom of the plenum for more even distribution(in the middle). The other 4 are on the back.
edit: The IAT and the brake booster are the 2 big ones. the FPR and HVAC are the small ones on the back.

If you have a MAF, make sure you hook the other valve cover up to the place that is supposed to supply clean air to it (NOT one of those stupid breathers) because if unmetered air is allowed into the intake tract by the PCV without having passed through the MAF, you WILL have idle problems.
The factory arrangemenet picks up the air for the supply side of the PCV system from the throttle body, in front of the blades, where it will have already passed through the MAF in order to get there; and the PCV valve also hooks to the throttle body, right behind the throttle blades. Anywhere on the plenum would accomplish the same thing for that hookup. Makes the PCV system, including the crankcase, look sort of like a small throttle bypass; containing entirely MAF-measured air.
