If I had the thing apart there's really non reason not to put them in. Unless you can't make changes to the prom.

Yes, the injectors will click and 45 psi is a good number to work with. Unless you are currently running injectors bigger than 24's, putting 24's in will make things worse (stock = 22's on a 350)
From what I've heard, the HSR will tend to lean out the A/F, because it flows more air. You could have a vacuum leak, or it could be the bigger cam is making less vacuum. I'm not familiar with MAF cars, so I don't know how much effect vacuum has.
You could lower the PSI as a crutch, but you're going to need to retune the engine to get things right.

What did you use to shim the center intake bolts so they'd sit flush?
I'm currently stuck trying to find the shims, its the last part I need.

In the GMHTP article regarding the HSR, the car had a cam and aftermarket heads and were also running 45 psi, but when they dynoed it, it was found to be running way too rich and so the pressure was changed to 38 psi and gained a substantial amount of hp to the wheels. Maybe that will help.

38# will be too low for the stock injectors with a stock 350 chip. Put in the Accel injectors and start out at 44 pounds. The HSR starts running dangerously lean on the stock 350 chip around 5400 rpm!!!! You really need to get a chip burned,, not so much for ET as for engine longevity.

When I first put my HSR in I couldn't post enough pics for people.
You're going to have to tune your chip, there's no way around it now. The stock chip is set up (timing and fuel wise) for an intake that doesn't pull much past 4500 RPM.
