ya it was a real major pain in the ***...the only thing which caused nothing to line up was the runners interfered wth my injectors, it took quite a few clearancing issues i had to grind runners and some other stuff but once you get those issues worked out its not bad just time consuming.

Re: Superram Threads
Along with the ratcheting wrench, I'll also use some bushings/spacers on the bolts so there won't be so much inside, causing more wrenching to snug them up. It might also be easier to get a wrench on them since they'll stick out a little more. Next month though.........

Re: Superram Threads
Here's what people don't know about their cars, the K-Member has a lot to do with how headers and the Super Ram fits. Some cars like mine, the K-member sits about 1/4 in to the left. In the Camaros you can tell 2 ways. 1st have you ever notice that the left front tire sits more inside the fender well than the right? If they are the same distance, you may have problems installing SR's and SLP Headers. 2nd have you ever notice that the throttle body to the snorkel are not straight in line? These are the main reason that some people have these problems.
If your motor mounts are sagging, this is one of your problems. If you install a poly transmission mount it will raise the trans about 1/4in an at the same time raise the back of the engine. This will give you the clearance you need

Re: Superram Threads
Perhaps I had posted this question on the wrong thread so here goes again, I have a 93 5.7 motor. I am going to replace the tbi with a accell super ram unit the system is not complet ( I only have the runners and the plenum) I would like to buy a complet tpi system, it is my understanding that the super ram runners will bolt to the stock tpi manifold, if this is true is there a certan year that I should look for to make this converson work? I will try to buy a tpi unit with injectors, fuel rails, distribtor, etc any information would be helpful.

Re: Superram Threads
Thanks, Joe now I know what to look for, I am going to try to buy a complete factory tpi unit and use everything I can off of it for my super ram.

Re: Superram Threads
I'm pulling my SuperRam off of my car.
I'm either going for a carb set up on my car or investing in some LSx power.

Re: Superram Threads
I solved the wiper motor clearance problem by installing Energy Suspension's transmission mount and their new transmission mount 3.1142 for third/fourth gen camaros. I also had to take the rubber feet from the back of the wiper motor and put them on the front to push the wiper motor directly to the firewall. The superram touches the wiper motor electrical connection (I have an 88 with the new style one piece wiper motor) but I didn't have to grind on the wiper motor housing or the super ram plenum. With the new transmission mount, I hope not to have the vibration issues that everyone else has had with poly transmission mounts. (It's shorter than the ES 3.1108).

Re: Superram Threads
I replaced my oe trans mount with the heavy duty Tci poly one's, it's my second time installing the superram. The first time, it was a little harder, we put the engine in the engine bay with only the runners installed and had to install the plenum in place as well as the headers!!! Don't remember why we did it this way but I think a member from here gave me this advice...Last winter I redid the engine and we installed it with the complete superram installed on the engine before putting it in the engine bay. Even my SLP headers were installed on! Much easier this way, only had a little header clearance issue on the passenger side but after forcing it (gently) it went in! The major issue is the header clearance issue interferring with the steering shaft. The shaft was brand new but got scraped with this issue!
