Stealth ram guru ????

Ok this is a question for everybody that uses the steatlh ram set up my vortec base hsr just came in today and im playing around with it the instructions say to mount the crossover line in front now im wondering if u could bolt it up behind the plenum and have your inlet ports and regulator in front instead of in the back im also using the hsr fuel rail with regulator if that matters i plan on trying to use the stock tpi rubber fuel hoses since they are still in good shape

Re: Stealth ram guru ????

I have the HSR but I do not have the holley fuel lines and rails that come with it but I ran my crossover in the back. I cant say for sure the holley hardline crossover tube will fit in the back but if anything you could always make your own crossover line.

Re: Stealth ram guru ????

I run mine with the crossover in the front and I still have clearance issues with the vacuum ports on the rear of the plenum hitting my dist. wires, I'm barely able to move the dist enough to time it. Goodluck man, it might be better in the rear let us know how it went.

Re: Stealth ram guru ????

Im thinking u really only need two vac ports so im mostly gonna use the two top ports and try that one for pcv and the ther for the hvac so the vents will work since im running ac as well

Re: Stealth ram guru ????

the cross over provided with the rails will not fit backwards, it comes in contact with intake, i have it in the front as prescribed and the only think i have an issue with in adjusting the holley fpr. no issues with vac lines or timing. just the frp is a pita to adjust.

Re: Stealth ram guru ????

Im gonna end up making my own crossover tube out of copper nickle so i will be able to bend so it doesnt hit on the hsr plenum it makes it more easier to mount it in the back so i can run my fuel lines right in front like the stock tpi lines im also not using the hsr adjustable fpr it craps out im looking into the aeromotive regulator instead so i can mount it right by the stock tpi return fuel line

Well that would help out alot the aeromotive regulator has 2 -10an fittings and the bottom return is a -6an i know i need 1 block of -10an fitting 1 -10an fitting to be able to slide over an 3/8 barb fitting and another -10an fitting that will work with a 5/16 hose barb fitting

Re: Stealth ram guru ????

u can use this style tb and cut the offending arm off and everything still bolts up
what i did was cut the normal throttle cable section off and am using what i bellive to be a carb/tbi throttle cable , it works perfect

Re: Stealth ram guru ????

Yea i ended up just using a tpi throttle body with the same arm and used the stock tpi throttle cable doesnt hit on the fuel rail crossover tube fitting now but i kinda missed the vac fitting under the plenmun so now gotta get brass fittings to hook up the pcv valve
