im not really desperate to sell them so quickly, i put up ads for it asking $450.00 plus shipping. Tires on them are practically new, paid $130.00 for each tire, plus rims are in mint condition.

Im expecting mid to low 13's N/A with my 305TPI setup. My bottom end is basically bullet proof and once i install the 150-200 shot into it im hoping for low 12 and right tuning high high 11's w/ slicks and great traction, May sound impossible but anything is possible and i really do believe it has the potential for it, of course im gonna have to do some tuning and upgrade the injectors and get a custom chip but im working on it. Even though the plennum has been fully ported it may be a slight restriction.
Havent tested the T-5's full potential but i know when i use juice it might go so im either going with a tremec 5 speed or do a T-56 conversion. Guess only time will tell.

BTW here are my mods in my sig, i had SLP runners but i sold them like an idiot, now im trying to find a set for a good price

Don't feel like the only one anymore. I am back and forth from this site to corvette forum back to here. Damn it sucks when you do all your work right away and have none for the rest of the day.

vortech305, good luck with those times. I am hoping for some low 11's when all is said and done. Maybe jsut one run before winter on slicks and my rear is going to go. So i'll save it for the last time i go to the track. I am hopping for some low 12's high 11's on street tires. easy on the gas all the way out of first and second. then this winter comes custom heads and cam. and a 9 inch rear with a tubbed rear and shorter axles. I hate not going as fast as i know i can. no nos for me. just blower power. I'm really hoping to have my car at 3,800 lbs. run in the 11's. can it be done OH HELL YEA!!!

It defenitly has to be cleaned before spraying the paint

Thanx for motivation, i have been planning to do this for a while and im finally almost there. I cant really say anything until i get to the track, Even if i hit low 12's ill be very happy. U dont see a 305 TPI hitting 12's very often, then again ill be running nitrous:shrugs:

Thanks TPI_roc, for a minute there I thought I was in the Twilight Zone (or Autozone). I would love to see some time slips of a 305 doing 11's (hell LOW 13's even) My 305 would never do better than 15's on the HIGH side. I wasn't going with NAWSSZZZ cuz I just don't trust that stuff. The money I was putting into it was getting me nowhere now I'm working on a 383 and HOPING for low 12's don't know if I'll actually make it.

I'm not bashing the 305. So don't show disrespect. I just want you to show me I didn't have to do an engine swap to meet the same numbers you want w/ a 305. Prove it to me and I will have the utmost respect for you and give you props. I haven't seen anyone do it and only hear people saying they will.

4,000 pounds is a lot of metal to move that fast w/ such a steady engine.

Peace

I ran my 305 after alot of money at a mid 14

Daniel burk (sp) spent some time porting his 305 heads, he's running a carb, and he made I believe a 14.009 or just about into 13's

This guy will truely be my hero if he runs faster times than my 355/385s can run

making a car run is sort of easy, People bash 305's because of its limited potential and cause it costs more to modify than 350's, I understand what ur saying. I basically did my homework on this motor and Id rather not say what im hoping to do and rather run it at my best then show timeslips. Remember Nitrous oxide dosent work as well on a modified engine as it does on a stock engine. Naturally aspirated it feels like a 13 second car but i wont know till i test it. I just hope i reach that mark and prove that 305's arent that bad as many people think, u just have to find its potential
