I go with the 3rd Gen. Stock for stock they be slower, but you can make a 3rd Gen faster, but you can't make a 4th Gen look better.

Ohh, generation . I thought it was about color. Third of course, but 99-02 T/A's are sweet as hell

My self I think 4th kicks arz but way to much $$$ for me to own one. Probably in another 10 years the fire hawks will be affordable.
Maybe Ill get smart one day and earn a ton of money and just have one for every season =)

I.... just like the picture you posted. Nice-lookin little community going on there, looks like some of the places my friends and I skated as kids. On a warm but shady summer day with the smell of growing things in the air, everyone lounging on deck chairs and swings I think I digressed at some point.

I prefer 3rd as well. But I dunno if that is an honest, point by point opinion, or if I feel that way simply because I own one.

86Fyrbird, youre getting to be as bad as Zepher. Any possible reason you can come up with to post a picture, you'll do.

Well, I like the looks of the thirdgen a little better. But if they were the same price and I could have either one....I'd take the 4th.

in that pic i like the third gen the best only because it has modifications... i see lots of 4th gen's round here and they all look exactly the same, same w/ the 3rd gens too. i hate the stock look,,,, if only i had more money over all i would rather take a 4th gen and custom paint it w/ flames or something and trick it out or whatever.

I broke the tie!!!

Love the car 86FyrBrd. Mine will look very close to yours in a couple of years. The black leather fourthgen seats are already on the way, along with the black interior panels. RAII is not far off.

Anybody know of a good place to get black GTA door panels?? the sponsors are sold out

I voted for your's (even though I prefer black) but don't ask my opinion about a black '97 WS6 T/A - those were the best looking 4th gen ,hands down, IMO!!

Long Live the Power the 4thGenerize the 3rd Gen!!!!

Am I the only one that is surprised about how many votes the 4th gen has got on a third gen site?

IMO - 4th Gens are ugly, however there are aspects of the 4th Gen I like. The interior is awsome (hence the reason why I am putting it im my Camaro) The Drivetrain is very superior to ours (hence why I am putting a 4th Gen 3.4L V6 in my Camaro, and a LT1 in my next ride) And as far as exterior, the only thing I like is the 98+ Ram Air Hood and the T/A Taillights, Those are awsome. Just my .02

Long Live the Power the 4thGenerize the 3rd Gen!!!!!

I'm voting orange thirdgen here. I HATE the exteriors of the 4thgen birds, yet I love the interiors. Whereas I love the exterior of the Camaro, yet hate the cheap looking 4thgen camaro interior.

That's just me, though

Hmmm. Let's see.

Can you tell the difference between a 1997, and a 2002 Firehawk?

A WS6 is not a firehawk, FYI

If we are talkin Firehawk, then my vote is for the Firehawk, otherwise its defiantly 86FryBird's awsome ride.

:hail: :hail: Firehawk :hail: :hail:

Vette Performance in the style of an F-Body, What more could ya ask for ???

BTW - A fourth Gen can be made to look awsome, but it would never come close to the third Gen. They are totally different cars, with only a name alike. I think I would take a 93-97 LT1 powered Trans am, pushing a T-56 and with the WS6 option and Black Leather Interior. The only change I would ake would be putting a 98+ Front Clip. Then Power goodies, I want a LT1, not a LS1, for a number of reasons...

LS1 >LT1, powerwise

Firehawk>WS6, speedwise

They both look bad as all HELL..
86FyrBrd's = the black Firebird, b/c 86's isn't stock.....

all in all....if you have a L98 or better your car is awesome.... IMHO

What could you possibly gain from swapping a 3.1 for a 3.4????

For Camaro's, I would say thirdgen all the way!!! 4thGen Camaros are too....round...for lack of a better word...

For Firebirds (and T/A and Firehawk), it would definitly have to be fourthgen. I think that they look meaner, especially in the rearview mirror!
