My Car... :(
Im 20, I pay $175 per month for my Iroc, thats only liability, my agent said I could buy a Corvette and as long as I kept it on liability I would still only pay $175 per month. I also get a discount every year for renewing with the company. Even when I got in my accident my rates still lowered when I renewed, just not as low as they would of w/o it.
on eBay

Tell them I said Screw the insurance you dont need that ****! LOL dont listen to me I'm just stupid. Insurance is a good thing. But if they let me save that money instead of giving it to them Kinda like a forced savings account I would be all for it! But for now I'll pay the bas)$%)(*$#
Wow, i guess i'm not the only one getting raped. I live in indiana and pay 250 a month for liability only on my primary driver a 93lebaron convertible. My 89 camaro is the secondary driver. MY insurance went from $500 every six months w/0 points in 99 to $1500/six months in 2002 w/23 points and a dui. Basically i made some really bad decisions and am paying a hefty price.

Figured I would comment here.
Cheapest I could find insurance, state minimum, was about 1,100 for 6 months.
I spent a lot of time searching, and found http://www.esurance.com/
They hooked me up for 230.00 for 6 months, quite a discount, and you can check the price on insurance for your car on their webpage.
It's worth a shot!

Damn. I pay about $700/year on all 3 of my thirdgens!!!
Even when I was in high school my insurance was about $500/year on my 1 car.
Hell... I called on insurance costs for a 91 Vette with full coverage and it was only $700/year.

Your pictures are terrible. Use one or two that show the entire car... not just a body panel here and there like the current ones.
Your buy it now price is kind of high, that will scare away bidders. Its a 100k mile car that needs a new fender and has a not too desireable engine. $3700 is too high. People will think thats the reserve and just not bother bidding.
Just a few ideas. Post better pictures and bring down the buy it now price, or take the buy it now off completely.

M3baller: although it looks like a very clean and unmolested original, at the end of the day it is still a base bird with no power accessories. In my area of the world (FL) you would have a very hard time getting 2K for that car. Good luck with the sale though. I love black cars with red guts.
There are alot of ways to cheat the insurance company and all. The only problem is they dont like to give you money so they look in to it. I was thinking of telling my insurance company that my car is in NJ most of the time and not Roch NY, but just say I got a few tickets or something, they would get wonderin', " Why does this kid get all these tickets in Roch? " HMMM, or if I was in an acciedent, all those questions. But yeah I want my own policy too, even though I will pay more then I do now. It saves me and my rents in the long run. Let some poor SOB sue me for 200,000. I dont got that much so they wont get it. If they sue me and I am on my rents insurance well then there goes the house and the farm. Plus it gives you credit, and we all want credit right?
what company gave you the 22% discount for the viper alarm?!
PLEASE say state farm lol
it would pay for itself in no time for me...even though im not getting bent over like some camaro owners...
$90 a month state farm full coverage...88 iroc 305 t-tops...hopefully ill work for them in a few more years

later guys

get out the phone book and start calling places for quotes. i went through so many hours of just calling people but it paid off. i bought my car when i was 19 and have to have full coverage on it so i was going to be screwed nomatter what. 1 place said 350 a month and another said 200 so it really depends on the company. i have been with progressive for over a year and they drop my rates every 6th month. i now pay 130 a month for full coverage on a 92 ta(v8,6speed). just shop around. if you love your car as much as you seem to you will work something out. good luck!!

Alright M3baller im getting tired of your crap....... I really didnt want to slam you, but its gonna happen now!!! You need to face reality.... You have an 85 firebird that has a blue book value of about $2000..... your insurance is liability only....... Liabilty only is the same for any car over 10 years old or something like that.... you could go get a fukin minivan and youd pay the same for insurance!!!!!!!!! Quit crying and check the blue book on your car, and then wonder why no one has bid on it!!! Id say your lucky to get $1500........

I pay 600 even every 6 months for just liability on my 87 firebird, but that is because the policy is under my name. One more year and I will have another insurance deduction. M3baller, I would probably not buy your car because I don't want another F - body, but it looks pretty good especially for an 85. My Firebird is the my first car and is my only transportation for now. It is not worth much, thats why I just have liability. I'm saving up for low milage Alpina BMW 6 series with low miles. Don't get me wrong, I love F -Bodies, but the Bmw 6 series is the car I originally wanted. I'm always going to keep my firebird. I may not drive it much again once I get another car, but I will still keep it running so that the F - body dynasty lives on.
