I have heard good and bad things about that shifter. How is it working for you Mark?

id like to go with new tachs and put them in the stock location like a few other have done on this board it looks killer. i wouldnt mind have the gauge pod that goes on the trim to the left of the driver like my buddy has in his stang.

Im sorry if this is a stupid question, but i always wondered why an automatic car would have a shift light and tach, doesn't a automatic shift for u, how do u shift manually with a auto matic; like what revs and so on......

yes but my trans is different....its a TH350. so i only have 3 gears with no overdrive. and if u have overdrive when u come out of second into drive...thats third..then shift to overdrive...fourth.

I can hold my shifts to any rpm, so I find out what the best rpm is to shift at and I set the light. Makes it much easier. Though I wouldn't have gotten such a huge tach, but it was a gift. Too many ricers have em.

Here's Mine.

I have had it in the car over 4 years and I have had no problems to date. The Megashifter has a very positive shift, as compared to some others, I had a Hurst V Matic once, and it wasn't as good of a shifter as the Megashifter was IMO. They all beat the factory stuff though.

Very nice Schultzy. I like the way it looks in a Bird. Everybody knows anything you do to a Camaro , looks ten times better on a Bird. .

Is the shifter easy to put in? I have that shifter in my '73 Z28 project car. I'm going to take out that and maybe put it in my '91 Z28.

I know opinions are like azzholes and everybody has one, but.....

I think those shifters are G A U D Y and the stock shifter can do whatever that can (with the exception of the ratchet, which I don't need anyways). I never seem to miss a shift with my stocker.

well see i have had many problems with my stock one. first of all i have threw it in reverse doin 30 or higher 2 times. plus when it wouldnt come out of first i got pissed and ripped the ball deal off. so i need a new one as it is. i dont feel like trying to fix that one. but i can understans why u would think they are ugly. but people think my car is ugly and as it appears i dont care about what they think. nothing personal.

I've had mine for a few years, and never had any of the problems that I've heard people go through. I think it comes down to one thing... read the directions. Oh, well, you have to follow the directions, too.

I've got nothing but compliments on the shifter, and love it. If I remember, I'll go snap a picture of it with my PenCam later.

Here is a picture of my megashifter in my 69 chevelle. I took it out of one of my camaros and put the whole console and all in there. Sorry the pic isn't better. By the way, the megashifter that i used is not the camaro/firebird one. I bought the universal version because it had a taller handle, and then modified the base. I had the camaro version, but me and a friend turned it into a pistol grip for his dart.

I know exactly what you mean. i'll be looking for your pics when you get your shifter. It should be pretty tight.

Hey Allen, I would get a junkyard console to try on because i believe you need to modify yours a bit.
