305 air cleaner decals

Call me picky, but I would really like some air cleaner decals for my 305 RS. I don't think they exist...and I'm thinking of getting some made up at a body shop that does body transfers...Anybody done this?

why not just print it out on sticker paper??

Also, it says horsepower but not the accual horsepower. 305 is the engine sive, not the horespower.

Jawz,
Did you do that from scratch? Pretty good ('cept the spelling!). Any chance you could mail me the bitmap or jpeg?

yes i made it from scratch, and as my sig say"If spelling counts, I'll take a F-"

I have the decal saved as a JPEG, anybody who wants it let me know. I will send the updated, with the correct spelling ofcourse. It will take a second to get it the right size though.

Throttle body injection... Horsepower... All on the same sticker? Thats a no-no if I ever heard one. Good idea though!

jawz,

Fantastic decal. What software did you use?

As for the Transam geezer, I'll shortly be adding a '79 6.6 to the stable, that'll kick some butt in the UK. (p.s. the 305 TBI kicks most in the UK, so I'm not fussed about transplanting 5.7's, headers, de-smogging, posi, etc......)

Thanks.

Ok... Now Im not tryin to be an azzhole here, yall know me better than that. Im just curious... do your REALLY wanna advertise that:
1. you have a 305 :lala:
2. you have TBI :lala:
3. you have only 170 horses? :lala:

Ill admit, the sticker does look great, and looks factory, but its not. All Im sayin is that if for some ungodly reason that I ever owned a TBI car, and had that sticker on there, Id never open the hood. Not that the sticker looks bad, cause it looks pretty damn cool... just cause of what it says.

He could always just make a new sticker and slap it ontop of the old one when he adds something!

Not everyone cares about the power aspect........

(I'm not picking on 88 WS6, sorry 88, ... just using his quote)

I am personally proud to have a somewhat stout 305 (originally equipped) in my bird & still retain 32-36mpg.

There is more to driving/owning a 3rdgen fbody than a ¼mi at a time.

To be proud of what you own and personally enjoy it takes precedence over all.

Could you make your sig picture a bit bigger? maybe 1024X768 would be a better size? Maybe 1600X1200? I'm hoping it could take up a full 2 screens instead of only 1.5 like it does now.
Thanks!

As deadbird said,

Take Pride in your ride. I do, and am rightly proud of my third gen. Don't much care about 1/4 mile times, just love chugging around with the V8 burble, and shining paint. Oh, I do love to polish the 4" chrome tip.

Later.

I bought the original sticker for the 305 from the Paddock for about $3.00 bucks. And to my surprise it comes in chrome with black and red writing(with correct spelling). Sorry no picture yet. For the money it was perfect on my K&N filter. Try the Paddock.

Just buy some office depot 57lb glossy adhesive paper and print it out on that, ad stick it on.

Re: 305 air cleaner decals

I have a hard time "saying" 305 when some one says "what's in it" ?
Let alone print it on the engine.

After I say 5.0, I say its a good city car. (I do live in the city).

I put a lot of work into this, the last thing I would do though is put a 305 sticker on it.
I'm not ashamed of it but I don't flaunt it either ......
To each there own.
