re-painted GTA rims pics PLEASE

i'm repainting ny car to silver and i want to know if anyone has re-painted the GTA rims to silver, black, etc. It's only a quick-fix until i can afford rims but here in esco. the gold is way too ghetto for me.

I've done it myself. The wheels are on my car in the avatar.
it's really easy to do--just make sure you scuff up the gold and tape off the silver lip--clean really good and spray w/glossy black--all done!!
Sorry--don't have any closeups--but you can't tell they were gold.

Go to an auto supply house and get yourself a red scuff pad--don't remember what grit it is--but that's what you'll need.
Just scuff up the gold paint so the new paint will have something to adhere to. Try to be careful and don't hit the silver lip--or you'll scratch the clear on it.

actually, that clear coat was already visibly scratched up when i got it - any ideas how to repair / repaint ?

Rims have been painted for a few years w/no problems.
I've heard of guys using that aircraft stripper to remove the clear w/good results. just make sure when everything is painted(black paint)to clear the entire rim so the shine will last.
