This is my 84 with a cowl hood, not exactly what your looking for, but still a T/A with missing ground effects. This is a 2 5/8" cowl I got from JC whitney that I bonded and riveted on. Good deal of work to do, and this picture doesnt do it justice, but I hope it helps.

thanx man, that helps a little. basically im trying to decide if a cowl hood will look good on my car or not. i want something aftermarket, but havent been completely sold on the ram air yet. any others?

I think your best bet would be to put on a powerbulge hood from a formula or one of the earlier TA's. I have one on my '83 TA...my car has the '85-'90 gfx as you can see. It is functional. I am sellin my car for parts...so if your interested in my hood let me know. Thanks.
