would s-10 extreme rims fit on a camaro?

I tried a search first and came up with no conclusive results, so maybe one of you know the answer.

I am considering buying a set of 2001 16x8 "S-10 Extreme" rims for my 1992 Camaro RS, but I would like to know if they fit...(I don't want them if they require wheel adapters like 4thgen wheels do..)

Thanks.

NotMyBFsZ tried to put some on her Z and had some problems. If I remember right there was a lip that needed to be ground down before they fit properly. If you don't grind off the lip then the wheel wobbles real bad because it's not sitting flush.

X-Treme 92 - those look great on there!

Not for sure, if you have the disk brake rear you may have a problem with the back space.

Thanks Poppa. You are right, I had to grind that lip. But not too much and they will fit ok.

How/Where do you dig up a set of those anyway? Just gotta get lucky on a find, or does someplace actually sell them?

If you are lucky. Your brother in law will buy a new S-10 extreme and put some american racing rims on it and you get to buy the stock rims with one week of use.

You mean the "Stock *****?" That seems to be the latest name for it.

I think those rims would look better polished. But still reguardless what others say, those rims look great even not being polished.

Those rims look great on the car!
And, while I don't consider myself a "stock ****", I do appreciate a simple car with clean lines. It's when you make it all busy with mutliple colors, pinstriping and who knows what else that bothers me.

For the most part I keep my negative opinions to myself.

I'm a firm believer in "if you don't have anything to say then don't say anything at all."

Thanks Mom!

yeah, the ones I bought are the same style as X-treme.92's and I think they look badass...(actually the only rim I like better is the zr1/ss's but I don't want to buy spacers, and I don't really trust 'em..)

so how about grinding that lip? where is the lip, and how do I grind it down?

i love those rims, personally
prolly cuz im biased (click sig to see why)

IMO the first incarnation of the Xtreme rims looked the best.
i really dont like the newer ones with either the gold or polished accent faces
