*** bless Claybars!!
:hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: :hail: Claybar
I have no idea how it happened. But I washed my car today, and the soap dried on the paint. No biggy, It happened before, just hose it off and your fine. Well I think it was the dried soap (It was carwash soap) but I got this NASTY Film on my car and the car felt super gritty. And for the love of *** I could not get rid of the film/grit. My mom and I tried EVERYTHING and no luck. We seriously though I ****ed up my paint bad. Then I claybared the whole car, and now it is as smooth as silk. I just got done putting a fresh coat of wax on her, now shes all shinny and smooth
I put about 6 hours into cleaning her backup into shape!!!
Thank you claybar!!!!!
* Note to self, Never wash car again

Glad to hear you saved it. What kinda wax and claybar did you use? I'm getting my car painted soon and I can't decide between that formula 113 or zaino...

OMG we just found out what it was!~
My dad PAINTED BY MY CAR! It was all overspray
ALL OVER MY CAR
He is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Lucky it all came off
For wax I use zymol. Im very happy with it. The claybar I used was called something like "Clay magic" got it at autozone. The claybar seemed to be better quality then mothers claybar.

From what I seen, it dosent do much for swirls. I like it because it really brings out the color of the car and is easy on, easy off.
Overspray
He could have just asked me to move my car

If your dad isnt too old or brittle I would smack him around a few times. Your ride is too clean to have anybody get overspray on it.

Thanks guys
My dads pretty cool. If he would have permanently damaged the paint, I know he would have paid for a new paint job because it was his fault. He's cool like that.
Man I spent 6 hours tryin to figure out what it was, trying different stuff, claybaring, waxing....

Cool mom too (for the help!)
I tried a few quick rubs of a mothers clay bar on an old popup headlight from a junkyard. used concentrated car wash as a lube so to speak.
Passed the bar maybe 50 times over the top, didn't seem to do anything, except very slightly dye the clay bar red (color of the light) was i using the thing wrong?
