Ouch man. Is the car totaled? If so, you might want to think about parting it out to help offset the cost of buying another car.

P.S. If you save a picture as a JPG then attach it, it will actually show up, instead of just showing a link.

Well thank you (even though it hurts to hear how nice it was) .

I was on the middle lane of the highway. Had to get into the right lane to take my exit. Waited a little too long to switch lanes, then there was this big truck parallel to me. So instead of slowing down, I decided to speed up to pass. I passed the truck, but my exit was right there, I tried my best to slow down, but I was too fast for the exit. And so being that the exit has a tight 180 degree turn, I nailed the curb, went right onto it. It honestly does not look that bad to me! I thought it would have been fine. But with such an estimate it is technically totalled. Even though it doesnt even look close to being totalled!

I have done some stupid stuff in my car. You said you waited too long, was there a lot of traffic or something? How fast were you going when you passed that truck? Trying to stop suddenly when coming down on one of those tight exit ramps is almost suicide for stock brakes. I have come close on numerous occassions myself because I could not switch lanes fast enough to get on my exit.

Yes there was a lot of traffic.. I mean its RT17. I used to wait a while before my exit, sometime I would click for the right lane, when the exit was right there. Now I drive much differently I get in the right lane much earlier around a mile earlier. That way theres no rush against time. It annoys when I take that exit, because I look at all the time I had to get into the right lane, that I never took. No idea how fast I was going, I had passing in my head, not speeding.

I'm telling ya bro, STOP waiting to switch lanes, even if it means 50mph in the right lane. Its MUCH better than an accident or worse! Like that quote I heard, "its much better to know where you're going, then to get there fast".

That sucks, man. Is there frame damage? It looks like the front wheel's a little tweaked there... I was in two small accidents; one that messed up the passenger door and the other that messed up the front driver's quarter as well as cracked the urethane nose. The odd thing was they didn't total it. I got $1600 for the first accident and only $700 for the other one on account of GEICO screwing me (neither was my fault so I was always dealing with the "other guy's" cheap insurance like Safe Auto...). I hate how our car's aren't worth anything so that a little fender bender results in it being "totalled." This is why I'm getting rid of the T/A; nothing I do to it seems to make it worth it; I mean, one accident and I lose my $10k investment! What did your insurance give you?

Nothing, my car wasn't on Theft/Collision, because they said the car was too old. So that saved money for me... but I didn't get any money from it, and my premium didn't go up so its fine. I believe if it was possible to on Theft/Collision, they would have totalled it, and given some cash for it. Oh and yes frame damage.

Hey Tom,

Do you still have any of the front wheels? I tried finding your email address but it is not in your profile. PLEASE EMAIL ME if you still have it and what you are asking for it. From the looks of the pic I would want the pass side one. Thanks.
