Hmm, is it me, now I'm no physics major, but vents in the back when you have them up front is a dumb azz idea.? I mean, you're sucking in nice cool air, just for it to escape out the back.

The front scoops are funtional on the hood, so all the air goes right into the intake and the back ones are left open to the heat out.....

That's an interesting design. I wonder if it really works...

Interesting design, but the distance from the entrance of the scoop to the rear of the scoop is too short for the cold air to come in and for hot air to leave. Mark is Right, the cold air would come and leave. The rear scoops need to be placed farther back to work that way.

Not if there is a seal coming off the intake right at the front scoops. I think.

I assumed that there was no seal. For $700 it should come with a seal.

Actually no matter what that hood would not be functional on a stock 99-03 Grand Am. Well, maybe for cooling the engine but not for air induction. Grand Am's get the air from the driver's side fender well, and the Ram Air is forced up from the air damn, and goes into a duct over the radiator.

OK I never really cared to much about functionality of the hood, just wanted to see what it looked like and I hoped someone had some better quality pics of it so I could photoshop it, but since no one gave an i used the pic I gave, and it doesn't look as good as I thought maybe better on a bird.

I'm not sure that the shape of the hood would even fit. I mean The whole hood looks kinda rounded and made to fit the Grand am head lights. I'm sure someone might be able to fabricate one up and in that case it might look nice but I like the original TA hoods for the F-bodys better. They just fit.

I think that hood would look good on our cars. When it comes to hoods, the only funtionality I care about is that the hood has a vent or cowl to let hot air escape from the engine compartment.
