Makes me wonder why I even try

Just about a year ago I got a brand new, freshly painted front clip and left fender. Whenever possible I park as far away from other cars as practial, as I'm sure most of you guys do also. But at this girls apartment complex it's impossible. So I get to my car and what do i find? Well the picture should explain it.

Ouch.... That took some force to do that type of damage on a body line like that.. Hope your insurance takes care of it. Good luck.

Like Mark said it's fixable and it looks like the paint hasn't been damaged so you should be OK........

Your insurance might cover that....

I just had the same thing happen.Somebody did a shopping cart drive by and I got the same damage,I feel your pain.Mine was painted 10 months ago.Your paint is not damaged now but it more then likely will be once you try to pull/knock it out.Shouldnt be too much to fix.Mine was the same size and it cost me $90 to pull it out and touch up that spot, good as new.Unless you have full coverage or real good insurance,I dont think they will cover it.good luck

Some people are about as excited about cars/trucks/etc as most people get about dishwashers. They just don't get it. I feel as sorry for them as I do us for having to live with them. Then again, some people are just A$$H@LES!

that might be salvagable. go to canadian tire and in one of the aisles there's this rubber popper thing.

attach to the damage and pull, u can probably pop that out...

Thats exactly what i'm thinking. Why should I pay, at the minium, $90 because some idiot slammed their door into my car? And if I fix it that dosnt mean it wont happen again.

I only have liability, I'm just a poor college kid. But the truth is that its not as noticeable to other people as it is to me. Its just frusterating that people can do that and leave. They new that whoevers car it was took good care of it.

I though of that right away. and if it was over the other way a little it would have hit over the wheel well and wouldn't have been so noticeable. I think i need shields like batman. Oh well thanks for your replys, i knew you guys would understand my pain.

The day after I bought my IROC, my hatch motor was stuck (because I didn't know how to get it to come back up) so I parked in the first spot at work so I could keep an eye on it cause I had it tied closed. I come out and see a dent on the roof from a golf ball hit from the driving range behind us. People intentionally aim over the shopping complex to hit ***** in the parking lot. Everyone told me "Oh, its small, no big deal, it'll be like $50". Yeah, its small, but it was a lot better when it wasn't there. I complained to the place for 3 months before they paid me. I still haven't gotten it pulled, and I hate looking at the damn thing. An inch and a half more towards the front, and my t-top would have been sitting in my seat in a million pieces

I still haven't gotten the car to the shop yet. Insurance Company said it should cost $400 to fix that fender. Uh-hu, yeah, if I owned the body shop. I still haven't taken in yet 'cause I don't have the money saved up to pay for painting the rest of the car......I hate tuition bills

Is your girls apartment next to a golf course. Looks like someone smacked a golf ball into the side of your car.

1. Go Find them.

2. Follow them around for a couple days, figure out what they do, and when.

3. Find the perfect setup.

4. Take them out...

As a Paintless Dent Removal person, I can say it won't POP out. The metal is stretched on any dent and they never just *pop* out. That is a fixable dent, though severe because of being on the body line. A good PDR person should be able to get that out for you and it shouldn't be noticable. No paint work should be needed. Good luck with it and it should cost less than $100 to fix.

Shooting people in the @ss with a pellit gun is ilegal, but if you put rock salt in instead, it will only hurt like hell!!! (same can be said for neighbors dogs!)

I have had a dents on my car so long that I forget that they are even there. I if had a flawless body, I would be upset if I found that dent on my car, especially on the body line.

I know the feeling. After spending cosiderable time and effort locating a replacement fender and putting it on my RS, my wife comes home one day with the other fender smashed all to hell! I just put my head in my hands and said those very words; "Why do I even try?!?!"
