<--- heads to store for a can of clear coat.
I think you will have to wait for Karl to make more of them, and that might be a while

he said he will make more if there is enough demand. i won't go into the details of our conversation, but it sounds like he wants to make more, he just needs to have enough interest to justify all the effort.
do these strut mounts make a difference in handleing? is it noticeable?
I know they are obviously better than the stock units, but enough to justify the near $300 US I think they go for?
thanks guys.
I live right by the guy who makes them so this is an option, I just need to be persuaded

i haven't installed them yet, of course they are better, justify the cost? well that depends on how much money you have, and how modified your suspension is, tossing these on a stock car probably won't give you much, but if you have a heavily modified suspension (like myself)... we will see. i know my strut mounts are warn, so i spent the money to replace them with these.

Thanks CrazyHawaiian! I myself was wondering what the height difference was all about. They sure would be pretty in my engine bay and with the beefed up suspension and the fact that I lowered it...hmmm.... I wonder if they would clear my hood though. I think the Suncoast hood has less clearance then the stock hood....

Tom, they look great. I've been debating whether to have mine powercoated after I polish them or clear coat it. All that will come later though. Still have some machine work to do to the mounts.

The mounts arrived with a little bit of damage to the edge near the top of the tower. I plan to smooth it over to get the dents out of there.

mine also had 1 small "knick" up there, but i am just going to use a SMALL file, and smooth it, i don't want to screw up the anodizing to much, and then clear coat them.

Actually I don't plan on rounding the edge. It will be more squared off you could say. I will try and make a 45 degree angle in between the top and side taking off only as much metal as I have to .
