WHITEFACE GUAGE Q's HELLLLPPPP

ok, so im in the process of doing DIY white face guages on a 92 camaro...2 questions i need answeed

people with macewen guages, how are they made so you dont have to remove the needle? whats the difference between DIY guages and his?
lastly, you know how if you wanna scan your own guages in, it tells you to unscrew those two black screws to take off the guage face? well im wondering if i take off the black guage and replace it with the white one, would it light up from the back? or should i still just glue it overtop? i think im gonna glue it over tho cuz im gonna wire a neon to the guage lights so it looks all cool.but i really wanna know how to do this without removing the needle so i dont lose calibration or risk breaking it..

Check Macewen's webpage for instructions. He has them on there so you can see how they go on without removing the needles.

your gauge proble..., if your guages are similar to mine, you will notice a small mark before any of the letters begin... that mark is what you replace the needle to. as for taking it of... thats tricky, i have a few guages here, just be very careful to pull it straight up when you remove it. if you break it ill sent you a new one so dont fret man.

i have macewens, you slip them on, with going under the needle first (as in, put the needle through the hole first, then slide down and adjust)

thanks to everyone else for the help, the speedo and tach i can get, its the middle ones that sucker me.
i was telling metalicamaro, if these dont work out, ill end up getting his...but if i do it myself i can customize the look of them, which is what i want, and i can also say to myself when im done "yea, i did that"

I just want to add that if you use some glues for the guages if you ever try to pull them off your stock letters come with it. Also the 90-92 guages are backlit so you have to have places of your guages transparent for the light to come through. Save the time and buy the Macewens. Very easy to do and great quality.

for the center ones, angle the needles so they face the same direction, then slip on the overlays just like the tach and the speedo.
