maro under construction

just bored so I took a couple pics of the maro as it sits now. It was in need of a make over so I tore it appart last night.

If anyone has any ideas on doing the floor and underside of the car other than spray on undercoating let me know, I was thinking somthing that would stop the rust and make it look somwhat new. I heard somthing about Por 15, but lets hear your ideas.

makes me wish i had the space for a restoration.......

Both of my American cars (Olds Cutlass and Camaro) have been rolling restorations, with steady continual work.

mine too was a rolling restoration but unfortunently not much can be done while your driving it. so I gave up and bought a Ford Tempo and ripped the camaro appart. driving the Ford has helped me work harder and faster, I put all my spare time into it. I hate Tempos.

Por 15 will stop rust forever. It costs around 20 bucks a can, but its worth much more then that. You don't need to scrape away the rust that is remaining on the metal, besides the flakes.

That's funny as hell. To answer your question, POR-15 is great. I've used it on battery trays and the acid doesn't even eat it. I hadn't thought of using it on my floor pans, but I think you just gave me a good idea. Thanks.

On the passenger side, you might be better off welding in a new floor pan. You can buy them from www.yearone.com .

That is a common area for water to puddle and cause rust.

Keep us posted on your progress.
