Black 'Maro with stripes??

I am thinking about putting stripes on my 'maro and I was wondering if anyone has some pics of some that would look good on a black car.

I'd go with a sebring silver, a nice bright silver that sets it off. I think white on black has been done plenty, silver would look real sweet and compliment the grey interior.

Your in the same boat that I am in. I have been toying around with the idea of racing stripes ever since I bought my car 4 years ago. So here is whut I am prolly going to do when I get enough money to do it. Since I have a black 89 rs I dont want the strips to stand out like from a mile away. I want to get a nice set of dark grey, almost like gholst flames. I love it when you walk by some thing and stop and think for a second then have to walk back and take a double.

Anyone ever thought of Hugger Orange stripes? Sure it would stand out but with one of the SS hoods it would look nice IMO.

I like the white stripes, but silver is a good option if you plan on keeping grey interior. Especially if you can match the stripe color to another part of the car like the wheels.

I think black with Hugger Orange heritage stripes would look killer, better without the SS hood. I don't think that hood would look good with heritage stripes or full length stripes.

ghost stripes are usually done in a pearl coat and can only bee seen from certain angles. They usually make people look twice, plus you can make them in a lot of different colors. Another option would be to mix a lot of flake(again your choice of color) with the black paint to shoot the stripes. It'll show up when the light hits it right, but it could be a little difficult to shoot if you're putting the pinstripes around the heritage stripes too. from what I heard heavy flake paints can be hard to get ot come out right. I wish I could get a pic of my friends silver ghost stripes on his black fiero to show ya, but they hardly ever show up in pictures.

The more I look at the silver stripes, the more I want them... it would really go good with the grey interior.. what aobut the gfx? you know the scoop-looking thing on the side ones of '91 gfx? what about black ground effects and silver in the scoop that fades to black? would it match the stripes or is it going overkill??

I think it could look cool, I can kind of visualize it in my head. are you thinkin of havin the gfx silver and fade into the scoop which would be black? if so I think that would look great. It's not too often you see the 91-92 gfx a different color from the body.

My car is black. My vote would be Gold. I saw a hotwheels size car with gold Trim and Iroc-Z decals and thought it looked good.
