AND in the vin it states it's an LG4 car. i would tend to beleive this is a legit car...and some one correct me if im wrong...but the gold gta wheels also werent available till 87,on the gta's. before then..they were black.

Who cares if it's legit or not, anyone who would buy that fugly piece of s*it is an idiot anyways. If you want a Ferrari, get a Ferrari, if you want a Ferrari kit car, I'd suggest starting with a Fiero - at least the engine would be mounted in approximately the right place.

Despite the add being a bunch of bull, the cars really not that bad. I mean, I'm not saying that I'd own it, but I have seen much worse.

I saw that round air cleaner and went "TBI"
I forget what year TBI came out, I stay away from TBI like the plague.
LG4 didn't that thing have like 160 HP?
ether way that car is not worth the money.

I dont know wether to defend it or call BS, but it does look like a quality job was done, you cant see the suspension to see if it was worked, or the engine to see if it was blueprinted, the interior looks upgraded, something some factory may have actually put out. so maybe it is real. I have read that story before, but it coulda have been on a similiar auction.

I agree. Ive seen kits that if you drove past them at 70mph you could tell they were fake/crappy. However if passing this car, I would be inclined to believe it. Overall it definetly looks like a lot of work was done, not just by some weekend warrior trying to turn his F-body into an italian exotic. Worth that much money...?? Hell no. Seen worse jobs being sold for more tho...

supersize the pic of the engine, I know its just a decal, but it looks like a pontiac logo then says 455 or 454 or something like that and then it looks like a "-4" maybe 455-4

I dunno. Maybe its not even the original engine. Why blueprint a 305

I remember seeing those in the '80s. Machiavelli made crap conversions back then and they're still crap. I can't believe someone bid on that junk.

This reproduction of the Ferrari GTO is so close to the original design that the Ferrari attorneys forced the Machiavelli Corporation to stop making this car.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Pardon me while I try not to choke on my spit as I hit my head on my keyboard, and fall over.

Sooooo much like a Ferrari, eh? Lots of Ferraris rolling off the assy line with GTA wheels, and LG4s?

And 86FyrBrd defending it is the icing on the cake.

From Camaro the Third Generation by Michael Lamm:
"The Machiavelli GTS 302 2+2. Miami enterpeneur Robert Henderson brought out another Ferrari-like Camaro conversion in 1986. His partner in the project was the co-star of TV's Miami Vice, Phillip Michael Thomas.
...The Machiavelli's body skins were again made of FIBERGLASS, this time looking even more like the Ferrari 308, with "air intakes" on both flanks. The interior had leather upholstery and woodgrain on the console and instrument panel...
While Henderson did assemble a few complete cars, they preferred to sell conversion kits. Their exterior kit, which included front and rear clips plus side scoops cost $4995. The interior conversion kit cost an additional $1500."

That thing is in Harriburg somewhere. I shall find it and destroy it, for its own sake.

It will be much happier in another place, like hell.

There is a car here in Welland just like that but red. It is a camaro though... I even talked to the guy who owns it. Not a kit my you know what...That is a kit, no if's and or buts. Look at the roof lines for one FIrebird all the way. What a JOKE! Someone should email that guy and let him in on the real world.

I must say the email was valid. And he claims it is a Firebird, but Ferrari built it. I really don't think so. Like I said. We have a car just like that here in my town. I 've talked to the guy, he bought the Kit and did it himself. I'm only nice to honest people, can't stand Liars. I don't mean to be mean, just to the point. Being that he is strecthing the truth...I call that a liar, which doesn't deserve to be treated "Nice" Just my opinion though. Maybe I was to hard on him......na.

Talking about fieros and such, my dad and i found a black 85 or 86 fiero gt in some guys back yard and he wants only $150.00 for it and it has a bad 2.8, and like they back side windows a smashed and thats it, they guy told us he doesnt have the title but my dads gonna go to the DPS and see if they cant find one for it. If we get it we are gonna try buying one of those 350 conversion kts for it and give it some reall power, but it all depends on if we can get the title...oh well..later
