chrome looks cheap.......yet painted stock wheels doesn't??
that's why they have the option. not everyone wants a stock or rather plain look.
as far as the chrome option on those wheels. i can only imagine what they want. i know my chrome plating was twice the price of those wheels without the cost of the wheels. i like the wheels...but not that much unfortunately when there are so many other wheels that can be had for less. thanks for the replies and the input everyone.

Hey Kandied, those wheels go for like $1200 on ebay all of the time! Just buy new tires for them, unless you can get a set with tires. And when they say ,"OEM", they are not. They did not make GM ZO6s with chrome plating ,only the Y2Ks. I got mine off of ebay, but they are off of a 2002. I got them pretty cheap, IMO. They are mint! You can check them out if you go to the nats. I plan on going. Sorry, no pictures, but member ES87IROC has seen them in person, not on the car, but i do have them. later

true, the only thing is there always can be some oem type setups out there.
i know my rims are oem because i sent them out to be polished and then to a plater. not that it matters though as the price can be way to much...
i don't know i'm still contemplating. if i can sell my chrome rims for around 650 or so then i'll do it. it would really help to fit the 13" track kit!

Well, a good way to tell is if you will be buying from an auction, just look at the pictures real close. If there is a "GM" stamp between a set of the spokes, then they truely are chrome plated OEM wheels. If not, then they are aftermarket! When in doubt, just ask too. There are tons of sets on Ebay right now, but none of them are real. I checked last night out of curiousity. There is however a '02 ZO6 with a super charger out west for like $43K, seriously. His wheels are chrome plated. good luck
