I know some IROCs came with TBI usually it was the verts or 305s

Obviously, since there were never 350 verts, 350 tbi's, or irocs with 6 cylinders. My buddy has an 88 iroc with a 305 tbi and a 5 speed. Nice car too.

how can it be an IROC with a 305 TBI engine? Someone explain that, the lack of decals, prolly from paint job, but the engine itself dont' MATCH UP

"1989... Technical Highlights.... The standard engine for the IROC-Z was the LO3 while the 305 LB9 and 350 cid L98, both with TPI, were optional."

Yes, Irocs with tbi's do exist. That question comes up hourly. Friend of mine has a very nice 88 tbi Iroc actually.

Just saw this post about my wagon. It is in fact a factory IROC and, as such, the car is in factory condition - by that I mean that the engine is the L03 TBI and the lack of decals is not "prolly from a paint job" but was a factory option. Anyone who had done any homework before opening their mouths could easily have found this out - as a matter of fact, you are currently on an excellent website that contains that information. I don't write "original paint" in my ad when what I really meant to say was "prolly repainted".

To the others, thank you for the compliments! If the car sells, then I'm going to find another third car that's as fun to drive, but if it doesn't sell, then so be it - I'll keep it. I love owning the convertible as a toy.

What's the reserve if you don't mind me asking! Its getting kinda high. Nice car none the less, but i don't think its worth that much. It is a totally different story though if i were to see it in person. Ebay auctions either mislead people or don't do cars/parts justice IMO. I would have to see something i would be paying $5k for before placing a bid. Good luck with the new kid too!
