Thoughts on these lenses...

Has anyone tried these, or heard of them before?

I think those are what Ken has on his Vert. I've been thinking about getting them, except that I'd pitch the cheap blue bulbs in favor of either a regular halogen, or a super-white type that isn't that fake blue crap.

The blue LEDs would end up in the garbage too.

Blue lights are illegal in Texas. I just wish the Police would enforce it more effectively.

Nope, those are not the ones I have. Mine look more "clear" kinda, plus I don't have the "running light".
And I agree, the blue bulbs look like cr@p! The light is infact very good, but they look nasty, especially with the lights off.

Quick: Did you have any troubles with them at all? How durable are they? Are they worth the money? And does the wiring harness have to be replaced or modified?

Well, the housing are really pretty nice, but the bulbs that come with them really arent that great. You have to pull the pins out of the connector and insert them into the proper position. Diagram here: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=115333

Thats one of the reasons why I did not get them yet. Some kits don't require you to pull the pins. Then there is the wattage issue. I think that if the bulb was over 55watts, the bulb would burn the wiring and mess up the ECM.

I have some of these and would NOT recamend getting them for a firebird or T/A. I found out that the little lights in them are cheap and dont hold the bulb well, mine fell out a time or two and you have to take the headlight out to fix it.and the little rubber gromets holding them in place are very soft and dont stay in place very well , and when It comes out, the water comes in,and poof goes the bulb. And again you have to take it apart and put it back together,,again,,remember that our headlights point down when not on so theres a good opertunity for water to get in.And the movement of the headlight up and down all the time is just to much for that cheap little piece of s#it to handle and it comes out of its little hole.
You problly wont have this problem in your camaro.
I took them out ,, have them in the garage if someone wants them.
I bought a new set that don't have the "extra" light in them and haven't had a bit of trouble.

and what an amazing deal - a $238 value with a buy-it-now of $35... something seems fishy here.

and while i'm fairly neutral on xenon bulbs as long as they're not overly bright or improperly aimed (that's the biggest problem with these idiots putting their own in, especially in SUV's. sometimes it's like looking through the rear view mirror into the sun...) i can't agree more with the comment about these idiots that put blue LED's and bubls on the fronts of their cars. perhaps the only thing more irritating is red LED's on people's windshield wipers, those 'knight rider' LED bars on the rear of a car, or people who take out red brake lights in favor of clear, then keep the white bulbs in them...

Thanks guys...I think I might get them.

So I will be safe for sure if I stick to 55 watts or less? I just don't want to burn out my wiring.

Just for the record, the body harness has nothing to do with the engine (ECM) harness.
