Who has a silver thirdgen?
I know there's Flynlow89's GTA that is Chyslere Platnum silver and there is a sport coupe that is silver too, but does anyone else have one? I want to have my car painted silver and I wanted to see all the different shades it came in.
What is the brightest silver I can get without looking like white?

Mark Frouhar has a gorgeous paintjob on his 434 Firebird. He used a VW silver, IIRC.

That silver makes the car look like a new car. Very sweet. I was still trying out different colors, but now I am dead set on silver, like in that TA pictured above.
Having my car painted is no big deal, I have the money and time for it, the only thing holding me back is all the body work I need done - that's the difficult part. I can't wait to get it done so I can have my car shot with silver.

Oh no, What happened. I thought the damaged body was bad enough, but exactly happened in that engine bay. Did it explode or something? That's very sad.
Bad things always happens to nice cars.

That was at the f-body.org Memphis event last year. Mark's crank self destructed 2/3's of the way down the front stretch on the road course. Crank balancer went bouncing under the car, breaking things, and the !oilpan pretty much greased up his rear tires at 130 mph. Mark did a great job slowing it down to where the car finally tagged the jersey barriers. It's since been fixed, looks great, and the engine was replaced with a Musi 434
I fwd'd this thread to Mark. Hopefully he'll chime in on Monday. He did some of the body repairs himself and did a good job.

I'm actually thinking about painting my car silver. I've only seen one other firebird the same year as mine in silver and I liked it. I'm either gonna go with Pearl White, arctic white, or silver.

Thanks for all the pics. I like all those shades of silver, but I think I am going to go with the brightest shade. There is something about silver that makes a car look newer.
