Hmm, I had the t-tops off for my trip to the grocery store this afternoon! After spending 20+ winters in Minnesota I got smart and moved to where the cars last forever. Rubber doesn't last for 20 minutes but the cars..forever!
My man you aint seen nothing yet. I'm home in NJ right now and this weather is NOTHING to what I've been stuck with for the past ohhhh.....6 months in Rochester NY. I mean it snowed everyday, EVERYDAY for all of January, and part of Feb this year. I mean everyday..more white coccaine from the heavens. THEN when it was almost gone it snowed more.
I thought I saw it all till 3 weeks go. It was warm (40 degrees) Sunny, blue skys. Now here is the kick in the pants, while all of this was happening, IT STARTED SNOWING. I MEAN SNOWING LIKE THE END OF THE WORLD WAS COMING!!! Now remember, it was sunny, blue skys, and sort of warm. Then to make things worse..as its snowing, you hear the birds chirping, and you can watch the snow freakin melt...SO HOW CAN IT BE SNOWING, I MEAN ITS JUST NOT POSSIBLE!!!
Only in Rochester....only in Rochester

What are you talking about bad in the snow? Plop a sandbag back there and a tool box with some decent all season tires and you are good to go. The only thing i would like to help me get going is a posi rear end so that when i try to go from a stop i don't just sit there and spin up one side. Really these things do pretty well as long as the snow you are driving in isn't more than about 3-4 inchs deep on the road. (after 3-4 inchs it starts hitting the body work) Not going to out do a good awd or 4wd with some ground clearance, but they do pretty damn well. In fact on (monday night i think it was when it snowed) i was out driving around on the roads here, which were still covered with about 2-3 inchs, and i had fewer problems than most of the fwds and 4wds. I saw more fwd cars spinning and or having an accident than anything. Saw atleast two 4wd suv's spin. Its amazing how some of these people can spin a fwd civic hatchback at 20mph moving forward with no turns to make.

i would but i dont have the well open.....sub box......and the reason why the people in suvs get in accidents is because they think that they own the road with there 4 wheel drive and go too fast.....well at least around here its like that

Actually only saw a few of them having problems, it was mostly the front wheel drives that were spinning out (really strange considering they were doing it while moving forward). Point is though, these cars don't do too bad for what they are, especially if you can plop a sand bag back there.

We actually got ice here in Dallas last week... Hehe us texans dont know what to do with 3" of ice :P
Hehe I should have got a picture of the 2" of snow/ice on my hood and windsheild before i scraped it all off
the big grass spot is where my car was parked, this was right after i got back from having some fun in an iced over parking lot

Heres what every road and freeway looked like last week. About 2" of solid ice on the road. I snapped this from my friends truck, which gets much better traction than my car on ice :P
