Anyone have an ugly car and wash/wax's it?
My car looks terrible, but I still wash and wax it.
Is this strange behavior?
Oh, and I painted my car with spray cans and it looks like ****.
I'll go out and take some pictures later of it all nice and clean.

There is hardly a good spot of paint on my car, and I wash and wax it like there is no tomorrow, I'd rather have a clean car with crappy paint then a dirty car with crappy paint makes it look twice as bad that way, at least from afar when my car is clean it looks good.

Joe would not want me to say it, but his 87 was a piece when he got it. Delamination out the yang and some rough body panels. He washed it the other day and there was actually some shine left in the paint on the sides. It was like wow did you buff it? Apparently, it was just that dirty from all the rain!
Though in the next month we are hoping to paint it!

My car has some rust, scratches, faded paint, oxidization, and dents in it, but I still wash and wax it everynow and then. I still try to make whatever is left of my paint still shine.

I only wash and wax my car at home. Its kind of embarrasing to wash and wax around something like this.
At least there are still some parts of my car that look good, like the fenders.

I wash mine occasionally. Just to get the mud and dirt off. Waxing doesn't make it look that much better so it's not worth the work. However when I get it painted this winter I'll be washing it all the time.

I always keep my cars clean regardless of their appearance. So this is not strange behavior IMO. While my current cars are all in good shape, I have had some fugly ones in the past. My 74 AMC four door Hornet comes to mind. Still kept it clean inside and out.

my paint aint the greatest but the body is straight as hell as in no dents, dings or scratches i have to wax it a lot to keep the paint shining but its always clean even in winter no matter what people think of you washing a car that isn't the greatest looking just shows the respect you show for the car thats how i am i respect the car for the car if your like me all your time and money goes into it so why not have it the way you want it
