Stripes or Wheels?

Should I so some racing stripes or wheels on my car?

I would do silver stripes...or I will do chrome Iroc-z wheels. I'm open to suggestions, could be setting myself up for some critisizm but oh well heh.

Hmmm. Those wheels do look really good. I just bought all new tires, so I'd like to stick with 16 inch wheels. Do they have a 16" application?

BTW, thanks for the photoshop. Any other opinions are welcome! Thanks guys! :lala: :hail:

I'm with him, the car looks awesome right now. Just polish your rims if you want something new.

I'd get rid of the mudflaps on the rears...BUT...you should of seen what happened to those fenders when my car was white. Sandy roads around here do a number on the fenders. Especially with wider than stock tires.

Thanks for the comments. I REALLY dig those firehawk wheels...but then again I really love the looks of the chrome Iroc-z wheels. HMMM..I would think the Iroc-z wheels would look better in 16" form compared to the Firehawks if they even make them in 16".

Aaah, what about those Torque Thrust II's I hear everyone talk about?

Dan88IrocZ your car would look so awesome with chrome 18 camaro rims . I ve seen a car with the larger than stock chrome factory style rims and it would look awesome. the chrome and the purple and the black top would look so great together.

I'm not gonna take anything away from chrome, but on an Iroc rim, it takes away from the "lines" of the wheel. I'd polish 'em instead.

Silver stripes would be cool, but I'd leave it alone. IMHO

Oh, man don't stripe that car it looks too good now. If I were to suggest anything, I'd say go with the chrome Irocs, or just polish what you have.
I'm not REALLY into purple, it's OK, but yours is the exception. I really wouldn't change the body. But, it is your car - I say do as you like.

Thanks for your opinions...if you think my 'Vert is nice...I forget the name of the guy here who owns the red Vert with the SS hood, but his car is amazing looking.

Anyways, total thanks for your opinions. I think chrome Iroc's are the wheels I will get. Should I get the style I have now (85-87) or the 88-90's? I prefer the 85-87 but...open to opinions as usual!

ChevyKen is his name, and yes, that is one sweet 'vert he has.

Do they make 88-90 IROC wheels chrome? I've only seen 85-87.

Personally, I would leave it just as it is!

I'm just kinda sick of the whole stripe thing, unless it's the stock style stripes. Most all of the "custom" stripes tend to look like **** IMHO.

i agree with you, have yet to see any stripes that look decent to me, unless they are heritage style, and even those are marginal a lot of the times imo.

I haven't found a single 16" wheel that looks half as good as stock with the exception of black GTA wheels, but I don't they would look good on purple. Too bad you didn't keep the car white.

As for stripes... uh... no. Especially not with the stock hood. Stripes over louvers looks tacky as hell.

Jim is anti-purple. He's been ragging on me since I've had it done heh.

It's okay though, you're out numbered by pretty much everyone who's responded to this thread!

So the vote goes for wheels...well I'll have to start pricing things up and digging into the wallet.

purple and lime green remind me of dodge and mopar muscle cars a lot. anyway.. the car looks nice. i wouldnt go 18's.. 17's are just right, and there is plenty of nice lookin 17's. Z06's, Firehawks, SS, and tons of aftermarket ones.
