cable looks alot different than my own so i can't comment on that. mine was actually a bit longer then i liked, having to loop it around seems unecessary. i would have liked a shorter cable.

why did you have to relocate holes? mine came with a bracket that utilized the existing holes and had a new set for the shifter itself. the worst part about my install was dealing with the neutral safety switch. beyond that the minor stiffness the shifter had for the first few days went away and now i love it.

hopefully someone can help you.

everything went pretty smooth and simple in my instalation. For that try moving the two 17mm bolts that attach to the bracket that bolts to your tranny pan. moving the whole cable foward and you can screw that peice back and pop it right in there... everything fits perfect im happy with mine.

well there is only one way the cable will bolt up to the transmisstion and thats not a problem yet...the problem is when you try to hook the black peace to the transmisstion it dose not hook up becouse its to short and will not bolt up to the transmission. so is there different hardwear that will allow it to bolt up to the trans...???\
thanks for your imput chris

lost too

Ok, I put my megashifter in yesterday in an hour and a half.. so while this is fresh in my mind.. let me put in some input....

If you didn't grab the arm and bracket off the old tranny you need to get those, they are part specific pieces..

other than that it should work..

I used the stock cable on the car and hooked it up to the B&M.

I think this is the piece you are referring too??? The piece on the right..This is the piece you need to use the B&M's cable to mount to the trans..you can order them from B&M seperate. Makes for a much easier install. I had to weld these two pices together to allow the shifter to work properly in my 85 Monte SS...

When you use that bracket remember to put the cable into the most forward hole (in the pic the hole on the left) for the 700r4..

Mark is right though, you may be able to use your old cable, check that out, may save some grief.
