what kind of photo editing software came with the camera? you should be able to resize the pics in there. if not, download a demo of adobe photoshop.

You can resize pics the "old school" way--- using paint. Just open the paint program and "my pictures" or wherever you keep pics, and drag the pic you want to resize to paint. Then click on "image", a new menu pops up, click on "stretch-skew" and you will see
"Vertical 100%" and "Horizontal 100%"
Change these values to a lower number and it will reduce the size of the pic. Then save it under a different name.

I have been having a problem posting pictures for some reason also. I have a digital camera and I never had any problems in the past, but it seems like lately when I try to post them they are always too big. I have PhotoSuite 4 that I use to resize them and I have to make them so small that the quality of the photo decreases. For example, the last post I made was a picture of my engine, below the engine pic is my sig pic taken with the same camera months ago. The sig pic is much clearer and is larger, when I tryed to leave the engine pic as big it would'nt post, it was like 132000 bytes or something.
Well if the pictures are big to start off with, such as 1-3MB or something then you are going to have to downsize them quite a bit. They have to be under a certain size for the board to allow the posting of them. Try to get them around 500k or so and it should work okay. Also once you make the picture smaller like above, its best, if you know how, to trim off the excess white area.

No problem PHAT89TA glad I could help.
1990GTA and tamatt27: You may have to reduce the size twice. For example, if you change the values to 50% the first time and then reduce by 50% a second time, the picture ends up 25% its original size.
Once you save the resized photo, you can right-click on it and then choose "properties" to see the new size. Keep reducing it until it is within thirdgen.org's acceptable size limit.
