Yea well the color is more red in person. its a totaly custom color from house of colors. there is 2 different reds in it and a dark silver metallic plus some clrome illusion.

Yea i love some weird looking red paint.

My car is a base coat of House of Kolors medium silver metallic, then Kandy Rootbeer, then Kandy Blue Blood. Yea there is not one spot on the car that looks the same next to the others. the top by the t-tops you can see the rootbeer color really well kind of like the Prowler orange. and then the middle of the car you can really see where the colors blend. and the front is all blueblood. and i love it. Not to mention as bigal said before my stripe going over the cowl is chrome illusion and you can really see 10-13 different colors in it.

Yea i actually seen a really nice 92 RS gunmetal grey with a hooker catback and some fat chick was driving and she gave me the thumbs up. then i seen a NSX in black with Chrome Illusion Painted on Grafics that looks killer. Made me want to go black and chrome illusion again instead of the Electron Blue and Medium Sprial Grey Metallic flames taht is going on next year after the LS1 is in.

I believe I have seen the RS around, but not the NSX. I've seen a grey Viper GTS, a hooked up 98+ red SS with stripes, and a juiced up Supra. When does the LS1 go in? You doing the work yourself? that'll be a beast!

Well I plan I purching a a wrecked LS1 f-body Preferably a camaro any year will do. The reason I am buying the whole car is for the rear axle and interior parts and of course the engine and trans. If i cant find a wrecked car with total interior im jsut going to drive out to Indiana and have speartech do the install for me. I have spoken to John the owner several times about the swap and know a considerable amount of what needs to be done to make it work. plus he will do everything with the engine and trans so i dont have to do anything with that. then i will find a 98 or newer camaro and take the interior panels that i want out of that and the rear axle. from calculations on money and things to that nature i should be done by 2004 totaly with new paint and ready to drive on the street. i already have 99 grey leather seats in my car that i love and i still have the stock seats that will go in the car when it is getting painted and the engine done so the leather seats dont get messed up. by the way where are you located in jersey cause we have gatherings all the time that it would be cool to see more 3rd gens at.

It's lookin' great man... maybe you can get a video of your car, just sweep by it, so that we can get an idea of how the paint really looks?

The interior was shot pretty much there is no headliner and the interior panels were carpeted and i hated it so i swaped that with the interior panels in my 88 that i had which were grey and i painted them black.i put the cargo cover on which wasnt on the car to begin with it had the flap thing. and i bought the 4th gen seats. Read above to see what the color consists of. But its red.

the ls6 block will be a hard commodity, also of note it is slightly different from a standard ls1 block..........

Nice car, gotta watch out for curbs dude.

wow.. Nick and Chuck talkin... cool anyway.. LS6 blocks are more common then i thought. I saw an article in GMHTPM that some 01 and 02 blocks in fbodies are LS6 blocks. there is a little "bullseye" indicator under the left side of the engine. Chuck, chef aka Rob has a LS6 block in his 01 TA... so good hunting man!!

if thats true, how many wrecked 4th gens actually hit the pick a part junkyards? at least aroudn here their stripped off everything and they resell the parts.

I know the 01-02 have the ls6 intake manifold, didnt know about the blocks.
Guess you learn something new everyday.

It actually wasnt a curb. it was from the winter with the 80- feet of snow we got this year. plus the jerkoffs throwing salt at my car from the truck. next year the bar is going on in the winter.

Thanks! Did you get a ballpark quote if speartech does the install? I'm in Northern NJ, so I'll be sure to check the Northeastern events section of the board more often. Unfotunately, I'll have to bring my 4th gen to any events...untill I get the Iroc back on insurance....hopefully by mid-summer.

From spear tech for the engine, trans, custom wiring, cross member, motor mounts, and everything else needed to make it run like the fuel system upgrade, plus instalation will be $9,400 for an auto and $9,700 for a manual.
