Pics Of My First Car

Took a year to get it on the road. Bought it for $500cdn then did the V6-V8 swap.

Im taking it to the track this Friday for the first time(driving that is) to see what it will do.

Also what years will the ground effect fit on this car. Cause i know they changed the noses around a bit but i dont know when and what will work.

Thanks

Sorry about the wierd pic size, I dont know what the hell im doing yet....

Looks really nice, very clean for a older car.

What v8 did you put in it? Update when you get times on it.

It has a stock 305 and Turbo350 from an 81 Berlinetta and I put on a Ravin muffler and new exhaust. A 350 swap is the plan right now, it will be mostly stock at first but a better platform for bolt-ons.

Thanks for the compliments.

LOL, oh I don't? Honestly, the only part I want to put on is the front nose ground effects. The front end just looks to "wimpy" and high without it in my opinion. The rest of the car looks pretty sharp though without effects.

wow.. gotta love that exchage rate. You rock for doing that v-6 to v-8 swap! When I saw my bird (still first car) I woulnt have bought it if it were a v-6.. but the irony is it had a v-8 that was shot. So it sat in a storage shead for a 2 YEARS! Before I found a 500.00 v-8 in a wrecked 89 camaro. pfff... dad decided to mooch of a 18-19 year old who was the only one paying rent.. how am I sopossed to save $ to get my car running like that? Dont let your rents do that to you.. its so wrong. But hell its running now LO3.. but it runs.. could be faster. Say.. can we use citezens by an engine from Canada and have it flown 2 us for cheaper then it would be to get a 300HP one here?

Im not sure if it would be cheaper. I really doubt it cause shipping an engine would cost some serious cash, especially to Texas. That is what you meant right? A Canadian or someone in Canada buys the motor then ships it to you kinda thing?

I don't think it would look good with only front gfx:

If your gonna go with gfx, go all the way around, but your car looks pretty sweet as it is!

That looks really good with the gfx, Thanks for the photoshop, i jsut might have to do it all after all.

But what about if the front only gfx were white, and the black part of the car was white as well?

I say put them all the ay around it and paint them two tone like the silver or maybe even black like the bottom of your car is.

I happen to be one of those, GFX ALL THE WAY types, but I happen to like the 82-84 SC/Berlinetta front ends.

The points and the sharp edges are better looking IMO than the later versions...

I'd just keep it stock and get some 85-87 IROC wheels.

Looks nice! Kinda like my own! Sweet price on it! This is with my winter rims/tires on it and before the hood blisters.

Thanks for the compliment Berlinetta82. And good eye on that one SydwayzTA 86. No the car is not lowered, they are stock springs. Perhaps it looks that way in that picture was becuase that was before I replaced the stock shocks. I now have Bilistein's all around. Here are some more recent pictures.

I've decided that it is the black on my car that is making it look "wussyish" from the front. It makes the car look higher than it is and well, "wussyish", or something. So that will have to go when I paint it.

I'll try and post a pic of the front end.

I say no to the GFX
but thats just me, do what you think looks best, heck with what we like.

hey WWasem what type of wheels are those? what year cammero?
I ask because as you see in my sig, I got those wheels on a 92 firebird, I know i should be shot. I want to offload those for a set of different wheels without the cammero badges. How much do they run? thanks
Craig

It's a 1990 Camaro RS. If you should be shot for anything it should be for spelling Camaro incorrectly! Just kidding with you, it's a sadly popular mistake... Anyway... the picture earlier in this post is the 15x7" stock rims. And from the picture in your signature it does not look like you have those rims. It looks like you have the 15x7" stock Firebird rims to me... As for how much the stock rims are worth, it all depends on their condition pretty much. So I can't really help you there. If you can, post a bigger picture of your car.
