If you don't mind the risk of a few more door dings after you get it all painted, i say go for it. The cars look alot better without em.

I agree, they look cleaner without them, but the theres a bigger risk of dings. If I was getting mine painted, I'd probably take em off.

I don't mind mine, if I had the early black squarish ones then I would remove them but mine look nice on the car... also less door dings!
I vote leave em!!

take them off. if you dont, and you want to take em off later then youll have to get all those spots repainted on the car. this way, take them off and if you want them back on just buy some the same color or have the rubber pices painted

It will look better, but be careful where you park. Mine were off for a few years after the paint job. But, a couple dings and scratches later(damn parking lots) I got some new ones.

Take it off.
I think most folks wouldn't even have the trim on their cars if there were NO risk of dings.
So the question remains is whether you are willing to take that risk. Plus think of all the extra walking you will need to do since you will be parking in the very far corner of parking lots, etc.

Leave them. I'm keeping mine on my Firebird. To me; I'd much rather have door edge guard, than a bunch of dents in my door.

take em off, it looks much better without them on. I think my car looks better with them off anyways. Also, i park in the back of most parking lots anyways
That's because of some chick backing into me though....
That's because of some chick backing into me though.... Alright thanks guys, I think i will leave them off when the car gets painted....
That way i can test it out for a few weeks to see if i like it, then i can put them back on if the legs get sore from the extra walking.....
Opinions were appreciated guys.....

Take 'em off. I did, and think it looks much better. Do it carefully though, and save them. They're not cheap to replace if you decide you'd really rather have them back on

I agree with cd90rs:
I think the car has nicer lines with them on.
Call me crazy but I like them on myself. It gives the car a better flow/line, and the extra door protection.
