Couple of shots of the engine, interior and body. lots of pictures.

Since I was getting so many ghey comments on the fine hawaiian tropic seat covers that came with the car, I decided to change them,

Did some routine maintenance on the car as well, changed the oil & filter, replaced the belt, changed plugs and boy where they a pain. I did 2 from the top and 6 from the bottom. I am going to dread doing wires, too much stuff in the way.

Engine needs a cleaning and some polishing, will do that eventually, gotta get the T/A up and running first.

The interior is in very good condition, t-tops don't appear to leak, had a heavy rainstorm the other day and the inside was nice and dry afterwards.

Here is a shot of the 4th gen dash for my 86,

I chose to run the Camaro Z28 cluster since it is much nicer looking with more lines between the numbers on the speedo and tach,

Here are 2 of the 6 digital gauges that are going to be run on the T/A

That's it for now, going to go to bed early and get to DMV an hour before they open. Went to 3 DMV's today and each one had at least 2-5 hour wait.

Very very nice! Definitely an upgrade from those older seats, hehe. A good way to clean out the engine bay, is to take it to a self car wash and use their power washer. Those things have so much power and the engine comes out looking immaculate! A couple car dealerships paid me $100 to do that to a couple of their dirty cars, and it only cost me like 10 bucks in quarters, hehe. Good luck.

Thanks.
I am cutting off those tailpipes tonight when I get off work, those are very fugly.

Those are just some leather seat covers, $20 each at Advance Auto Parts.

What needs to be covered when you spray the engine bay?
I don't feel comfortable spraying the engine down with water.

You just need to cover a couple things. When I did it, I used plastic bags with some duct tape. I covered the battery, alternator and distributor. It's very very important you wait until the engine cools down, otherwise you'll have little pieces of melted shop-rite bags on your engine and other hot components. Also if you have any aftermarket pieces with wires exposed, it's a good idea to cover those also. Usually the car wash places have a setting for degreasing the engines to spray down first and let it sit for a few minutes. It's a good idea to use the degreaser on the engine first, shut the hood and then do the rest of the car. Then, after about 10 minutes, spray down the engine and it looks beautiful!!

Looks good, how many miles are on it? I didn't know that the 305 tpi came with the 140 speedo.

Did I miss something....

Zepher did you get a new ride? When did you pick up that bad boy? Is it a 305?

It appears to be in really good shape. Have fun with it.

Has a 105K miles. I think it has the G92 package since it accelerates rather quickly, so I am pretty sure it doesn't have the 2.73 gears.

I picked it up on Saturday, got the new title, registration, etc . today and will be able to drive again.
I am installing the first mod today, an Energy Suspension Tranny Mount. I broke the stock one last night when I gave my friend a ride in her.

I put in my Trans Am dash pouch since the Formula only had a blank plate over the space.

I also need to strip the clear coat off of the wheels since they look terrible,

I'll be doing the minimal mods to this car, gotta get the T/A on the road, that's my baby.

It was insane. Went yesterday but the lines at the 3 DMV's we went to locally were out and around the building. The one out in Smithfield had 4 tellers but it was still taking 15-20 minutes for each number to be called.

I went to the one off of Tidewater drive and got there at 10am, got out of there at 1:30pm.
They had 3 tellers, then 5, then 3 and then 5 again.
My brother had to re-new his license and had to take the test and he failed.
He has to go there again, I feel bad for him.

Oh, my brother is going to look at a 97 or 98 LS1 motor today. 80K miles on it and the guy is selling it for $500. It ran great when pulled from the wrecked car.
We're not sure if it's from a Vette or F-body though since the motor belongs to a friend of a friend and our friend can't remember what car it was.
