Just to cheer some people up.....

Well, back in Febuary, I was involved in an accident due to the great drivers of this great nation (insert sarcasm). Anyway, I've just about settled out on the claim and I found a reputable shop to bring her back to life. It's gonna be a little costly but this car is in too good of shape to part out.

Just wanted to let everyone know that this 'Bird will not be lost, in light of all these excellent 3rd gens dying lately.

Also, does anyone know if someone makes a fiberglass aerowing for less than $400? I just think that's a little costly for a spoiler. If anyone wants to make suggestions of something that would look cool on the car, go ahead so I can get it before it gets painted.

Glad to hear you're bringing it back. What plans do you have? Are you keeping the stock hood? What color are you painting it?

Well, my plans as of today (I change my mind alot ) are basically just bringing it back stock. I found a donor 84 T/A so the body shop is replacing my rad. support and various other pieces (headlights, corner lights, etc..) and the car just so happens to have perfect front fenders (same kind with vents) and hood. Only problem with the hood is it's a power bulge hood (ex. Formula hood). I don't want either of the ram air hoods so I guess I'll just have to settle for this.

I guess I'll just have to shell out the 400 bucks for that spoiler.

As far as motor goes, the 305 is coming out and a warmed over 350 w/ AFR's and a Stealth Ram is going in.

Just a thought

Why not swap over all the good stuff from your car into the 84 donor?

I just envision it being a bit cheaper, and you wouldnt have to deal with driving around in a car that formerly had a crooked frame.

But then again, I understand sentimental values and such.
Eitherway, good to see at least one bird will keep on truckin

The 84 had some rust issues, so the cost was about the same.

The frame wasn't harmed either. All damage was forward of the strut tower.

That looks about how my Camaro was when I totalled it. Except the hood bent back a foot more, bumper was down another foot and somewhat pushed under the car, rear was twisted so bad there was a 4" gap on a side of the rear glass and they cut my passenger door off to get me out and ruined my new tweed interior, damn them, lol. If my scanner wasn't being stupid, I'd post some pics of it. 3 years ago and it still hurts, lol.
